FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you do takeaway?

Yes — takeaway is always available. Just follow these steps to place your order:

  1. Choose your favourite phở from our menu.
  2. Let us know when you want to eat — "Eat Now" if you'll eat within 10–15 minutes (we prepare everything together, ready to eat), or "Takeaway Home" if you plan to eat later (we pack the soup separately so you can reheat and assemble at home).
  3. Tell us if you'd like chopsticks, a spoon, or any condiments with your order.
  4. Share your name, phone number, and pick-up time (during service hours).

Walk-in: come in during service hours to order takeaway directly at the shop. Online orders (limited time): text us at 022 185 0899 — before 11am for lunch or before 5pm for dinner. Pick-up during service time only. We'll send a confirmation once your order is accepted.

Is there parking available?

Street parking is available along Dominion Road and surrounding streets. There is also a public car park nearby on Valley Road.

Do you take reservations?

We don't take reservations. For larger groups, we recommend arriving before we open, or sending one person ahead to hold a spot in the queue.

What is the usual waiting time?

We turn tables over as quickly as we can. Parties of two typically wait 5–10 minutes, groups of three or more around 15 minutes. Larger groups depend on what's free. Once you've ordered, your pho usually arrives within 2–5 minutes.

Do you offer delivery?

We don't offer delivery, but takeaway is always available. Please call us in advance on 022 185 0899 to place your order.

Do you have vegetarian options?

We specialise in traditional Hanoi-style beef pho, so we don't currently offer vegetarian dishes.

Is the food halal?

No — our food is not halal certified.

Do you use pork?

Our broth is simmered with beef and chicken bones only — no pork. It does contain a small amount of pork seasoning powder; if you'd prefer without, just let our staff know when ordering.

Is your pho gluten free?

Our broth is gluten free. Our standard noodles are not, but we can swap in dry rice noodles on request, which are gluten free.

What herbs do you use in your pho?

We garnish with spring onion, coriander, and white onion. Our style is traditional Hanoi, so we don't serve bean sprouts or Thai basil. Let our staff know if you'd like any of the herbs left out.

Why is your youtiao served in half size?

Our youtiao is handmade fresh for us every day by a local baker. The traditional Chinese stick is quite long — we cut it in half so it's the right size for one person, the way it's eaten in Vietnam.
